So amazing. So fresh. A fantastic AYCE lunch was consumed today. It is always a pleasant experience coming to AYCE sushi SCM. Staff is always extremely welcoming and attentive. Everyone is always happy at their tables. Nice music + music videos always playing on the tv. It was a perfect Monday lunch (but the amount eaten was more like our breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are done eating for the day!!)
Our favorite AYCE Sushi in OC!!! We have been going here for years. The food is always so amazing and consistent. It's so worth it for the reasonable price. The green tea ice cream after the meal always hits the spot! The service is the best too. We never have to wait too long for the food to come out. Jenny always takes care of us! Thank you AYCE, we will be back, again!
My parents, friend and I were pretty impressed with this AYCE sushi spot. We came on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm (purposely did so to avoid lumch & dinner rush) and there was no wait. There were only a handful of tables dining. Whew! We sat at the booth in front of the sushi bar. More spacious than the first table that was right by the entrance - better fitted for 2 than 4 especially for what we had ordered. Service was pretty good and the staff were friendly. K-Pop music and video was on and playing. Very upbeat and not to loudly disturbing. We opted for the AYCE Premium (includes sashimi & some seasonal items) for an additional $8pp. Somewhat worth it, I say it is worth for the 1st time. The salmon sashimi, yellowtail sashimi and the carpaccio was the best items from that premium list. The bluefin tuna wasn't that great. Uni was just decent. If I were to return I do just the AYCE Basic. I do love their No Rice Specialty Rolls and so glad they come in 1 or 4 pieces. Everything we ordered came in out in a timely matter and no item was missed. Interestingly we were graciously served several items on the house! It was very appreciated :) We hardly had any carbs so we were able to try most of what we had wanted. We came, conquered and left very happily full! The price and quality met our expectation. I would definitely return!
Sashimi is amazing. Baked rolls are out of this world. Staff is very friendly, reliable and long term! We've made quite the friends with the great wait staff at AYCE - which is half the experience! Jenny is excellent front of the house - ask for her and you won't be disappointed! Best sushi and sashimi for a bang up value anywhere in the area.
I went to AYCE Sushi SCM with my boyfriend and his family on a whim because we were all craving sushi. When we arrived, there was plenty of seating (we arrived around 5:30-6:00PM on a weekday, I can't remember exactly what time). They played K-Pop music with the music videos by the entrance if that is your jam! But the music wasn't overpowering or loud in any way. I will be perfectly candid, the images do not do this place justice. I was a bit apprehensive when going because I was worried that it wouldn't be fresh, but the sashimi and rolls were all so delicious! I believe it was closer to $45-50 per person for their AYCE menu with sashimi included. I only had a few pieces of sashimi, but each of the pieces that I had were tasty! My only complaint with the sashimi is that the toro could've been a bit more tender (I've been spoiled), but otherwise it was delicious! The texture wasn't mush or too chewy (my biggest problems with sashimi typically), and they tasted fresh! Sometimes I get worried that AYCE places will let their sashimi sit for a bit, but it didn't taste like that at all here. I really enjoyed their rolls. I can't remember the names of all the rolls we got, but I think my favorites were the Dodger and Lakers themed rolls. I like my rolls with a little bit of spice and a little bit of crunch, and both of these hit the nail on the head with that. The servers were also super speedy with bringing items out and clearing our tables. We ordered a lot so it felt like our tables were constantly filled, but the servers always made enough space. They did such a splendid job. All in all a nice place to have lunch or dinner at! It's nice enough to treat yourself or your family without breaking your wallet too much. The price point and quality matched, which is always a good thing.
A very decent AYCE sushi place for the price. Fresh fish, the common rolls, and several unique ones. Love the sashimi that is part of AYCE -- generous cuts, belly portions, good quality. I love that they have the self-serve ramen bar -- ramen is a perfect ending to the meal after all the raw fish! Service is very friendly and fast. The only bummer was they were out of fresh oysters. Atmosphere is very casual, almost fast-foody decor.
Are those chopsticks or are you happy sashimi? Lots of parking. Clean spacious restaurant. Friendly service. Premium ayce gets you sashimi and carpaccio on top of the rolls, which I think is worth it. *Sashimi- cut thicccc and comes with fresh wasabi (extra fresh wasabi $1) *Fresh oysters- as advertised, fresh small oysters. Seasoning isn't consistent though throughout the rounds *All the toro sashimi were delicious . It just melted like butter *Well seasoned carpaccio with thinner cuts *Baked mussels were delicious *Edamame was over cooked so it was super soft *No uni *For a party of 3, we got 2 small abalone (1st round only) Free ayce green tea ice cream at the end that's super creamy. All other desserts are not ayce.
My wife suggested AYCE Sushi to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We waited about 45 minutes after putting our name on the waiting list, pretty much as expected. Since we have a child in our party, it was hard for us to decide whether to order by item or AYCE. In the end it probably came out the same. They automatically added gratuity on party of 5 (instead of 8) or more. Oh well. I enjoyed sushi we ordered. Fish is really fresh. My salmon skin had roll was good too. The salmon teriyaki is like a salmon steak. My only disappointment was the miso soup. It tasted like it was watered down.
This is my favorite AYCE sushi spot in all of OC. The ingredients are always fresh and they don't overpack the rice, so it's great for those who are carb-conscious. I'm not usually an all-you-can-eat type of person but this spot is an exception. And plus, sushi isn't that filling especially when they don't pack in the rice which is what makes you full. The unagi is always fresh here and not too fatty. They also serve hot green tea with the real green tea leaves and dried rice.. I enjoyed it so much I had 4 refills and a cup to go.
